In 1992, the US Environmental Protection Agency (
epa) introduced the
energy star® label program to identify energy-efficient products to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In 1995, they extended the label to residential heating and cooling equipment that meet the required specifications, and In 1996, they partnered with the US Department of Energy. As a result, the
energy star label now encompasses office equipment, lighting, home electronics, appliances and more. The
epa also extended the label to cover qualifying new and renovated homes, mixed use, commercial and industrial buildings.
The design stage typically requires two to four weeks after you meet with
VFP to discuss your goals. Once plans are complete
and the necessary permits have been secured, you are ready to begin
construction.
